At The Pediatric Dental Center, many of our new patients come to us on the recommendation of a current patient, or one of their parents. This is, of course, very flattering. It’s important to any dental practice to get new patients, but when they come to us because a current patient is so pleased with…
Is it a battle to get your youngster to brush their teeth? At the Pediatric Dental Center, we know that in some cases an electric toothbrush can help. If used correctly, an electric toothbrush cleans teeth as well as a manual brush. Both brushes remove food fragments. This, in turn, prevents tooth decay. Should I…
In this post from the Pediatric Dental Center, we’re discussing the water flosser, also known as interdental cleaner, interdental irrigator, or water jet. A water irrigation device oscillates a stream of water through a small, targeted tube to shoot out fragments of food and plaque from around and between teeth. Numerous studies have validated the…
Sometimes children brush their teeth too aggressively, leading to receding gums. It’s a bad habit to get into, which is why the Pediatric Dental Center urges parents to help their children learn proper brushing techniques. Brushing too aggressively may result in gum recession, which is when the gum line exposes more of your teeth, or in…
This post from Pediatric Dental Center is about baby teeth. Why would you take care of them when they’re just going to fall out and go to the tooth fairy? It’s a good question with an even better answer. Parents should never feel like they are wasting their time taking care of their little one’s…

I could not have asked for a better experience! I was so nervous, but my nerves were quickly gone because of how friendly and caring the staff was. From the minute I walked to when I left, every person was smiling and being kind. My son did not cry and loved his experience as well which made me feel at ease since this was his first dentist visit. I will definitely recommend everyone I know with kids to bring them to the pediatric dental center.

My kids go to Pediatric Dental Center at the Burlington location and I couldn’t be happier with them. I’ve never had a dental office that is better with kiddos and we have tried many in Northern Kentucky.
The office is very CLEAN, comforting, and is bright and colorful for the kids. There is a tv in the waiting area and it plays a movie for the families if they do have a wait. The waiting area is large and has plenty of comfortable seating. I personally have not had to wait more than 10 minutes for my child to get called after their scheduled appointment time.
The office staff is educated on services provided and estimated cost with or without insurance. They are always so friendly and welcoming. I ALWAYS forget to ask for school/work notes and they have it ready for me and ask each time if I need one. They also ask if you would like to make your appointment for the next needed visit and schedule in advance.
Dr. Soper always throughly explains exactly what he did, the status of their dental health and what the next appointment is for (or if they just need another 6 month checkup). He also provides feedback and helpful tips to keep their teeth healthy. He also discusses age appropriate changes with children’s teeth and how to transition the kids to take care of their own dental hygiene as they get older.
His assistants are so personable, gentle and kind with the kiddos and give them a balloon to take home each visit. My son has severe separation anxiety and they work with him to ensure he is comfortable and have the ability to provide dental services efficiently. When I became a foster mom, they were able to make her feel welcomed and added her so she could be seen as well. I’m so thankful my kids do not dread going to the dentist anymore. It really was such a struggle to get them to before we started going there.

I absolutely love this office. Dr Soper and the staff are excellent. The first time my daughter had to go back by herself she was very nervous but they calmed her. This time she was nervous but brave and did not cry. I believe it's because they are so great with her.

We love Pediatric Dental Center for our three kids! We’ve been going there for almost ten years since my oldest was 1 year old. They make visits fun for them and it was easy to transition from getting their teeth checked on my lap to them going in by themselves on the big chair.
