Your Child’s Dental Health

Healthy teeth and gums are important no matter your age. At Pediatric Dental Center we are committed to the dental health of our young patients, and are honored whenever parents demonstrate their trust by making us a part of their child’s wellness team.

Kids need to learn proper dental care at an early age. Even before they’re toddlers their dental health is important, and it’s up to parents to keep their teeth and gums clean. We want to see kids in our office no later than their first birthday. And if their teeth start coming in before then, it’s time for their first checkup.

As the kids start getting a little older, parents can set the right example by taking good care of their own teeth and gums. A big part of how they learn is through observation. See mom and dad taking good care of their own teeth sends a powerful message they are not likely to miss.

Well-rounded dental care includes:

  • Brushing twice a day
  • Flossing at least once
  • Using only products that carry the American Dental Association seal
  • Limiting sugary or starchy snacks
  • Drinking fluoridated water
  • Regular checkups with the dentist

Once your children get a little older and have their permanent teeth, ask us about dental sealants. Sealants coat the teeth with a protectant to provide an extra layer of cavity prevention.

Good oral care during childhood gets your youngster started on a lifetime of good dental health. And at Pediatric Dental Center, we are here to help them along the way. We place a lot of importance on preventative care and want all our young patients to enjoy a lifetime of excellent dental health. We offer complete pediatric dentistry services, and have offices in Burlington, Cold Spring and Crestview Hills KY. Call for an appointment today!
